Story
We started this adventure after our kids flew the nest, and in their honour, each room is named after the capital city that they've each ended up closest to - Paris, London and New York, and our newest room "Les Arcs" pays homage to the place we've skied at for the last 25 years.
We have 4 rooms; 3 are en-suite and 1 (New York) has a private bathroom across the hall, with plush bathrobes for getting around. London is our family room, but all rooms can accommodate a cot and / or a z-bed for our younger guests.
There’s complimentary beer, prosecco and home-made limoncello awaiting you, to help you wind down after the inevitable fun on the M6, along with plenty of snacks, tea and coffee.
Our family room sleeps two adults and two children officially, HOWEVER as a family of five ourselves, we are all too aware of the costly implications of that third child, when it comes to hotels! Therefore, as long as you don't mind muddling in together, and let me know in advance, we're happy for the room to be occupied by five.

Breakfast
Homemade baked goods will be awaiting you in the breakfast room: Sourdough, brioche, Guinness & Cheddar Sourdough, croissants, muffins, crumpets and banana muffins for you to tuck into, along with homemade strawberry & prosecco jam, lemon curd and peanut butter (I've not yet found a recipe for Marmite, so that's brought in!) before your hot options are served, from a variety of locally sourced and homemade ingredients.
For those in a hurry, you can choose from our "Breakfast to go" menu, so that you can eat and journey at the same time.
Gluten-free, lactose-free and vegan bread, oatcakes and sweet treats can be provided, but please notify us in advance as everything is prepared fresh

A very empathetic couple of owners and both communication and breakfast was best in class.
Nicola & Roger are great hosts! On hand for any requirements and recommended a great pub for evening meal. Have gone above and beyond with the goodies left in the room, wine, beer, snacks, sweets and plenty of tea and coffee! The breakfast was outstanding and there's an array of home baked breads, muffins and pastries along with homemade preserves. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hestiate to return next time we are in the area! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
As a short weekend break for my wife and I, our night at Oaklea House was exceptional. Set in a beautiful rural location, the premium finish and accommodation was outstanding. Our hosts communicated to a really high standard prior to our arrival and were very welcoming and friendly during our stay. Thanks Nicola and Rog! It turns out it wasn’t a trip to collect a car part but infact, a wonderful break where we just so happened to pick up a car part.

A real gem - great room - spacious and very comfortable. Nicola could not have been more welcoming - the breakfast was superb with a fantastic choice, including homemade bread - everything was delicious. Will definitely being going back.

Why not choose Oaklea House to host your event. We can sleep 10 formally, and a few more especially if they're little ones.
We can put on a Garden party with a large cream octagonal gazebo. We can arrange a Champagne afternoon tea, an all-inclusive night in our on-site bar and "inside/outside" or a formal dinner, with no need to taxi home.
We have a slush machine that can be filled with child-friendly drinks, or a more lethal adult mix. There's a trampoline in the garden, and we have suppliers to hand who can arrange a bouncy castle or other "must-have"s for your garden function.
