Oaklea

Oaklea is a lovely 1930's four-bedroomed property situated in the tiny hamlet of Walterstone, Herefordshire, on the Welsh border. Positioned in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it sits in 30 acres of grounds and farmland, overlooking the Black Mountains, with breathtaking views and sunsets. Recently renovated to its original period appearance, the property has been owned by the same local family for over 70 years.

Awarded four star grading by Visit Wales, Oaklea will sleep up to eight people and is situated 17 miles from Hereford, 8 miles from Abergavenny and 12 miles from Hay on Wye.

There are plenty of tourist attractions, pubs and attractive restaurants within easy travelling distance and this is a beautiful walking, cycling and trekking area. The mountains provide marvellous habitat for birds, flora and fauna and have inspired many artists, writers and photographers to live and work here.
